Sydnie's Project

Recently, our niece Sydnie completed a project for her 2nd grade class. Her teacher gave each student $5 and told each student to make a difference with that $5 however they wanted. Well, Sydnie decided to raise money for R Angel. She turned the $5 bill into change, then went around door-to-door and asked people if they had any spare change to make a "change" in the world. She told our story over and over & even made a cute little poster that she carried around. It amazes us how generous people are & how much money she raised by just asking for spare change. She ended up raising over $550, which was the most anyone in her teacher's class had ever done in 3 years! Thank you Sydnie for all your hard work & thank you everyone for all the donations! Many lives will be touched because of you all :)

Today, we sent a prepaid VISA to a family whose little boy, Reed, was in the hospital. We are a little late sending it & he is already home, which is wonderful news! We still wanted to send them something b/c we know he may have follow-up appointments & medical bills coming so we hope this giftcard will help in a small way :). Today, we delivered an R Angel gift card to some friends of ours who recently had twins, William and Isabelle. They were born at 32 weeks and will be spending some time in the NICU. They have already gotten their IVs out and are breathing on their own. They are just working hard to learn how to eat on their own now :) They have a big sister at home so it has been very difficult for their parents to divide their time & go back and forth from the hospital to their home/ Ronald McDonald house. We hope this prepaid VISA will help them out in some small way! Please keep William, Isabelle, and their family in your prayers!

We went to The Toledo Hospital today to deliver a basket of food & goodies to a family staying at the hospital with their daughter, Arlyn. Please pray for this little girl & her family. We are hoping this basket helps lift their spirits & we are praying they get to go home soon! Please keep Arlyn & her family in your prayers!

Today, we sent a prepaid VISA gift card to a family that we originally met through R Angel because of their sweet little boy, Ridge. Well, Ridge & his family have had a long road, but recently Ridge's mom went into surgery to donate one of her kidneys to Ridge. What an awesome mommy she is! We are happy to say they are both doing very well, but Ridge still has a long road to recovery, so we wanted to send them another R Angel to help with this hospital stay. Please pray for Ridge's recovery & for his mom's recovery as well!

We also sent a prepaid VISA to a family of a new little baby, Cullen. He was transferred to the Toledo Hospital NICU at birth because of what they thought was a traumatic reaction to the birth. That's the last I've heard, but please pray for him as he gets better & hopefully strong enough to come home with his family! We hope this gift card will help his parents as they spend these difficult days in the hospital. They live about an hour away from the hospital so we know how expensive gas can get as well. Please keep baby Cullen in your thoughts and prayers!

Today, we sent a prepaid VISA to a family of a little boy, Elias, who has to have open heart surgery at only 3 weeks old. Please pray for his entire family as they go through this very difficult time! We hope this gift card will help them pay for some expenses as they spend this time in the hospital.
