I feel like I'm so far behind with some of these prayer requests, but I guess it's never too late for prayers!  A few weeks ago, we sent a prepaid VISA gift card to a family whose little boy was also born with Congenital CMV (cytomegalovirus), just like our son, Benzen.  His name is Liam.  He has been receiving outpatient treatment, but has recently begun an intensive inpatient treatment program to improve his communication and to get him to eat orally instead of through a tube.  Please pray for this sweet boy & his family as they are torn apart during this treatment (mom is staying with Liam while dad is home).

We also sent a prepaid VISA gift card to a family here in Toledo, who also had a sick child, but I am not sure of the name.  Please keep this Toledo family in your prayers as I'm sure they can still use them!

Today, we sent another prepaid VISA gift card to a family of a little boy, Lane, who had surgery for a tethered cord at Cleveland Clinic.  This family is from around here, so being in Cleveland for this surgery has to be very difficult!  Please keep this family in your prayers during this difficult time!

Thanks for all your support & prayers!  We appreciate it more than you know!  Please remember this Christmas season that many babies/kids are going to be spending Christmas in the hospital, and their families will be with them.  Please keep them all in your prayers over the next few weeks :)

Hello everyone!  Please join us in praying for baby Evan Michael and his parents.  Evan was born in early October with a rare mass inside the right ventricle of his heart.  I believe he is home now, but will continue to be monitored and cared for by many doctors.  We sent this family a prepaid VISA to help pay for some of these expenses, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!

We also sent a prepaid VISA to the family of twins, Lydia and Jensen, born early at 28 weeks.  Please pray for these sweet babies and their family as they "live" in the NICU for a while until they are big enough & strong enough to come home.

Thanks for all your prayers!

We recently heard of a little girl, Imogen, who has been diagnosed with a rare cancer and is going through chemotherapy.  What a long road she has ahead of her!  We sent this family a prepaid VISA card to help pay for some of the expenses that they will incur.  Please pray for this little girl and her family as they go through this difficult time!

We also sent a prepaid VISA card to the family of a little baby girl who was born early at 4 lbs. 5 oz. and will be spending some time in the NICU.  Please pray for this little baby and her family!

We also reached out and sent a prepaid VISA card to a family who recently had quadruplets!  Wow - can you imagine?!?  They were born around 30 weeks gestation and are all in the NICU, but doing well!  The babies have an older sister at home, so mom & dad are trying to balance their time with her and being at the NICU with the babies.  This can be so difficult - we know all too well!  We also want to mention that these 4 babies also had another sibling (yes, she was pregnant with quintuplets) that passed away early in her pregnancy.  So, please pray for this family.  Pray for the parents as they travel back and forth to the hospital daily.  Please pray for big sister as she learns to share her time with her new siblings.  Please pray for this family as they watch their quadruplets grow big & strong, yet remember their 5th sweet baby that never made it to this earth.  And please pray for the quadruplets themselves - that they grow big enough & strong enough to come home very soon!

Another family to keep in your prayers!  This mom recently had triplets!  Since 2 of the babies were monoamniotic twins, there was a high risk to the babies, and they had to be born at 29 weeks.  The smallest baby was born at 1 lb 15 oz.  Mom & dad live about 45 miles from the hospital and are trying to be there daily with their triplets.  They also have children at home, which makes the whole situation even harder!  We sent them a prepaid VISA card as well.  Please pray for this family & all these sweet babies!

Last family to pray for (although we know there are so many others out there that we just haven't heard about).  This is the family of sweet little Camille, who is battling kidney disease and awaiting a liver/kidney transplant.  We know this family has a long journey ahead of them - we have sent them a prepaid VISA card to help with travel expenses.  Please keep them in your prayers as well!

Thank you for your continued support & God Bless!!!!

A few weeks back, we sent a prepaid VISA to a family with a newborn in the NICU after he was born prematurely.  The little baby, Camden, has now been discharged and is home doing well :)  Please continue to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as Camden grows and develops!

This week, we also sent a prepaid VISA to a family whose little girl, Nora, had to be hospitalized for a heart cath.  She was born with hypoplastic right heart syndrome, and has had 2 heart surgeries in her 3 short years of life.  This heart cath was in preparation for her 3rd (and final, I believe!) heart surgery scheduled for sometime in September.  Please keep Nora and her family in your prayers!

Thank you for all the continued support of R Angel!  We are so blessed to be able to continue helping families solely with donations from all of you!!!!  God is good :)

We recently sent a VISA gift card to a family whose baby girl, Vienne, was born several weeks early and will be in the NICU until she gets strong enough to come home to her family.  The parents have another child at home so they are trying to juggle taking care of him and being with their newest little one at the hospital, which we know can be so very difficult!  Please keep this family and sweet baby Vienne in your prayers!

What beautiful weather we have been having!  As I play outside with my kids, I remember this time last year when I sat in the NICU with our son & looked out the window at the sunshine, wishing more than anything we could go home.  So many families are feeling the same way right now so please be praying for them.  Here are a few R Angel VISAs we've sent recently:

One was for the family of a little baby girl, Paisley, who was hospitalized for bacterial meningitis, and remains in the hospital trying to recover.  They have a long road ahead of them so please keep them in your prayers!

One was for a mom of a young boy who passed away from a car accident.  We wanted to send something to try to help, in a small way, with some of the expenses of the funeral, bills, etc.  No mom should have to worry about money when she is mourning the loss of a child.  Please pray for this mom & the entire family!

One was for the family of a baby born at 28 weeks.  She was only 1 lb. 7 oz. at birth and will be hospitalized for quite a while until she gets bigger and stronger.  Please keep them in your prayers as they stay with their baby and drive back and forth to the hospital!

One was for the parents of a little girl with Down syndrome.  I actually just became friends with this mom on Facebook by chance.  Her husband & her have 3 biological children and have adopted 3 children with Down syndrome.  It has warmed my heart to read her story and see the sweet pictures of her children.  Sadly, her little girl was recently diagnosed with cancer (leukemia) & is going through chemo.  She is only 1 year old.  Please pray for this entire family, especially for baby Kate!

The last one was for the parents of a little girl who has a rare genetic disorder that already took the life of her sister a few years ago.  She is now struggling with the same disorder & is only 2 years old.  Please pray for peace and comfort for this family as they go through this difficult time with their sweet child.

Thanks again for all your support for R Angel!  We couldn't help these families if it wasn't for all of you :)

We have been very busy with R Angel lately.  We recently sent a prepaid VISA to a family whose little girl has been having a lot of testing done.  We know it can get very expensive traveling back and forth to the hospital, so we are hoping this will help pay for some of those expenses.  Please keep Reagan and her entire family in your prayers!

We also sent 2 prepaid VISAs to a mother and father of a little boy that passed away after being in a car accident.  We know the pain of losing a child, although every situation is different.  We also know the expenses that come from funeral costs, etc. & are hoping this small gift helps in some way.  Please keep this family in your prayers as well!

We also sent a prepaid VISA to the parents of baby Addyson.  Addyson was born 5 weeks early and diagnosed with cerebral lissencephaly, which is a very serious condition in which the brain stops growing at a certain point in utero.  Her parents are staying at the Ronald McDonald House so we thought a VISA gift card would be the most useful during this difficult time.  Please keep baby Addyson and this entire family in your thoughts and prayers as well!

March 27, 2013

Hello everyone!  As many of you know, this month is very special to us as it is the month Remi was born :)  Her birthday was March 13th - she would have been 4 this year!  Although we cannot believe that 4 years have passed, we are amazed at the doors that have been opened in that time & what God has done in our lives since March 13, 2009!  As much as we miss our precious baby, we know that R Angel would not exist without her & for that, we are grateful.  It brings us so much joy to help other families in her honor!

On her birthday this year, we delivered 20 bathroom baskets to the Toledo Children's Hospital with supplies for families to use if they have to stay at the hospital with their child.  We also delivered a gift card to a couple whose baby was born 7 weeks early and in the NICU.  I was even able to meet sweet baby Avery :)  Her mother and father are staying at the Ronald McDonald House, but are making trips back home as well, so hopefully this gift card will help with some of the expenses they may incur.

When we were delivering the bathroom baskets, we met a wonderful (and very large :) family of a little girl who was in the PICU suddenly after getting an infection.  The father happened to know our brother-in-law as well.  What a small world!  We ended up sending the father a gift card to help pay for expenses that he may incur while his daughter is in the hospital.

Please keep both these families in your thoughts & prayers and all the families that might receive one of our bathroom baskets.  Thanks for all your continued support :)

Wow!  It's been a while since we've posted anything.  A few months back, we sent a prepaid VISA to a family whose 2 children were in the hospital after being in a car accident.  They are now home but their family continues to need your prayers!  Today, we sent another prepaid VISA to a family whose 5 week old baby, Kyley, was in the hospital with pneumonia.  She has now been discharged and is doing well, but we know how the bills start piling up after a hospital stay so we are hoping they are still able to use this gift card :)  Please keep Kyley & her family in your prayers as well!
