Today, we sent a prepaid VISA gift card to the parents of baby Addison, who is in the NICU after being born at 3.9 lbs. We know how hard it is to be in the hospital day in and day out with your baby, so we hope this small gift will help in some way. Please keep baby Addison and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, especially since the holidays are coming up.

Today, we sent out 3 prepaid VISA cards to help some families who have sick children in the hospital. One went to a family whose baby boy has just been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer. He has begun treatment, but has a long road ahead of him.
Another one went to a family who had twins & one of the twins has heart issues and has been hospitalized. They live quite far away from the hospital & also have another child at home. We hope this gift card will help with some of the travel expenses we know they will incur.
The third gift card went to a family whose baby boy, Brody, was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and has already had 2 surgeries. He is up in Ann Arbor in the hospital and will have to have a 3rd surgery eventually.
Please keep all of these babies and their families in your thoughts & prayers, especially over the holidays!

We were recently contacted by a student from St. John's school because he had to do a service project & wanted to volunteer for R Angel. So, we took him with us to buy food and goodies for a basket & tons of bathroom supplies to replenish the shower room at The Toledo Hospital. We went to the hospital and were able to speak with some of Remi's nurses and one of them, our dear friend Cassie :), showed us to a family in need at the hospital. The baby boy has neuroblastoma & we were able to meet his family and deliver a basket of food and goodies to them. It was an amazing experience to surprise them & we are so thankful they allowed us to come into their room & meet their sweet little boy. Please keep this baby and his family in your prayers, especially during this holiday season!

Today, we took a prepaid VISA to some dear friends of ours. Their daughter, Olivia, is having open heart surgery Tuesday at U of M. This is something that they knew was going to have to be done eventually, but it is still so scary! She will be in the hospital for a few weeks, but we are praying for a quick recovery! Please keep Olivia and her family in your thoughts and prayers over the next few days/weeks! Pray for the knowledge and skills of the doctors, healing of Olivia's body, and peace and comfort for her family :)

Today, we sent a prepaid VISA to a family at The Toledo Hospital staying with their baby in the NICU. We have found that it's difficult to send baskets of goodies when the babies are in the NICU because you are not allowed to keep any food in the rooms, so we have been sending mostly prepaid VISAs to these families. This mom had many complications during her pregnancy & her and her husband chose to put their faith in God for their little miracle baby. Ava was born 8 weeks early and is doing well, but has a long road ahead of her. We hope this gift card will help the parents pay for some of the expenses they may incur traveling back and forth from the hospital as they have other children at home. Please pray for little baby Ava & for strength for the family during this difficult time!

Recently, we made a basket of food & goodies for a family staying at the hospital with their daughter who was in a car accident. Her parents are taking turns staying by her side every second of the day, so we thought a basket from R Angel might be useful :) Please pray for this young girl & her family, as she has a long recovery! We have been getting good reports, though, so this is great news! Praise God!

Today, we delivered a basket of food & goodies to one of my best friends staying at the Ronald McDonald House at The Toledo Hospital. She and her husband had triplet girls, born at 30 weeks gestation. They are doing great, but will be in the NICU for several weeks until they are big enough & strong enough to come home. Please pray for the girls - Mia, Brynn, and Adrie - and for their parents :)

A few weeks ago, we sent a prepaid VISA gift card to a family whose baby boy, Maddox, was born at 34 weeks gestation and he had to be in the NICU for several weeks. We actually just found out that he went home today, so this is wonderful news! We hope this VISA was able to help this family during their stay in the hospital! Please pray for continued strength for baby Maddox & his family!

I just realized that I missed a post about a month back. We sent a prepaid VISA to the family of a little boy, Gage, who is in the PICU at the hospital up in Ann Arbor. The family is staying at the hospital with him and we know what that is like, so we wanted to send them something to help in some small way. Hopefully, they can use this gift card to pay for food or whatever else they may need. Please pray for Gage and his family!

Today, we sent out 2 prepaid VISA gift cards. One went to a family whose little girl has recently been diagnosed with Progeria. Although she is not currently in the hospital, we know she will have many doctor and hospital visits for her continued care & we hope this gift card will help in some small way. The other gift card went to a family whose baby boy, Samuel, was born prematurely and will be in the NICU for several weeks. We pray that this gift card will help this family as they travel back and forth to and from the hospital each day to be with their baby.

Today, we sent an R Angel basket to a family staying with their son at U of M as doctors try to figure out what's wrong with him. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and strength for this family during this difficult time.
We also sent an R Angel VISA to a family whose baby has been diagnosed with Hirschsprung's Disease (which is what our precious Remi had) and is having surgery to fix this. The baby's name is Sutton, so please pray for Sutton's recovery and for his family as well.

Today, we sent out 2 more prepaid VISA cards. One was for a family whose little baby had to go in for surgery to remove part of the baby's skull and then reconstruct it. They were going to be in the hospital for a few days, so we wanted to send them something to help with some of the expenses. The other one was for a baby who was born prematurely. The baby's mother had some medical complications herself and is now doing well, but the baby will be in the hospital for a while so we are hoping this gift card will help during this difficult time. Please keep both families in your thoughts and prayers!

WOW! What an amazing day! For the first time ever, we had a group of volunteers help make baskets for R Angel today. Thank you so much to all the high school students from Swanton and Springfield who came out to help! We were able to quickly put together 20 bathroom baskets and 3 food baskets for the hospital. (Pictures to come soon!) We took the baskets to Toledo Children's Hospital and stocked the bathroom with 20 baskets - the most we've ever put in there at one time! We also met up with one of Remi's old nurses and someone from Child Life that knew of 3 families that would be perfect to receive the food baskets. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible! With Remi's 2nd birthday approaching tomorrow, this was a perfect way to honor her and remember the amazing impact she had and continues to have on so many people's lives! Please continue to pray for all the children in the hospital and the families of these children!

Today, we sent 2 prepaid VISAs to 2 families with baby girls in the hospital. One family lives in California! Crazy how word travels and we are able to help someone across the country! We are so thankful for people sharing about R Angel and what we do so we can reach families like this :) The baby girl's name is Cayleigh & she has just been transferred to a hospital 2 hours away from where her parents and 3 siblings live, so we hope this VISA will help pay for expenses they will incur.

We are so thankful that we are able to work with them and provide help to families with children with Down Syndrome, as obviously they hold a VERY special place in our hearts! This family is traveling back and forth to and from the hospital to be with their baby girl & we hope this VISA will help with some of their expenses.
Please keep both families in your thoughts and prayers as they wait by their babies' bedsides to bring them home! This can be such a difficult time and we are just trying to give some help to those who are in similar situations as we were almost 2 years ago.

Today, we sent another prepaid VISA to a family whose baby girl is in the hospital due to a kidney disease. They had to remove her kidneys altogether. The baby is in the hospital in Michigan, but her family lives in Toledo & will be driving back and forth to be with her while she is in the hospital. We pray this VISA will help with some of the expenses they will have. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers!

Today, we sent a prepaid VISA to a family of a newborn baby, Cameron, who is at Cincinnati Children's Hospital after being born with some medical issues. We hope this VISA will help Cameron's family pay for expenses, such as food, gas, etc. while their baby is in the hospital. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers!
